To our minds, "ranch house decorated by Phoebe from 'Friends'" is not an acceptable living arrangement for an aging punk rocker, to our minds. But here's John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten, lead singer of the Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd, and a loud and frequent critic of the British aristocracy, showing he's just another rich American with mediocre tastes. He and his wife, German heiress Nora Forster, decided to sell their longtime Malibu house, listing it for $1.995 million -- cheap for beachside Malibu, but very expensive for people who are not married to heiresses. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom house sits on a third of an acre on a private road off PCH, just east of El Matador State Beach, and was listed as a fixer ("Needs TLC, sold as-is"). It comes with a pool, beach rights, a big deck, pool with waterfall and spa, pool bar, cabana/gym, fruit trees, and two-car garage plus parking for four more. (Heads up, though: It may have sold, since the listing has now disappeared.)
