He plays a werewolf on TV, but his new digs in L.A. are more modern than rustic. “True Blood” star Joe Manganiello bought a mid-century modern home for $1.826 million in late April, according to property records and a story by the Real Estalker blog.
In a sign of the L.A. housing market, Manganiello — through a trust — paid 2 percent more than the $1.79 million asking price for the 2,422-square-foot home.
Perched off Nichols Canyon, the home was built in 1963 but has been updated to create a “spa-like retreat” with spacious outdoor living spaces, including a lounge area surrounding a pool, as well as a fire pit and built-in barbecue.
The outdoor space flows right into the indoor living spaces, which are arranged in an open floor plan with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths.
Besides starring in “True Blood,” Manganiello has had roles in “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and most recently “Magic Mike.”
