Mischa Barton bought a stunning Spanish-style home in 2005 for $6.4 million, right on the heels of her breakthrough success as rich girl Marissa Cooper on the popular show “The O.C.”

By 2010, Barton was past “The O.C.” and apparently well past her home as well. She listed the Beverly Hills property for $8.695 million.

She tried relisting the home after a brief break in 2011, and with no buyers apparently biting she then tried the rental route, listing the home for $35,000 a month in early 2013.

Whether Barton found a tenant for the past few months isn’t clear, but regardless, she is ready to try her hand at the market again, listing the home for the same price of $8.695 million.

Barton’s private villa, located at 2670 Bowmont Dr, Beverly Hills, CA 90210, is situated in the gated neighborhood of Bowmont Estates. Perched on 1.22 acres, Barton’s home has a generous 7,607-square-foot floor plan with 6 bedrooms. Features of note include the master bedroom with its fireplace, dual baths and dressing rooms, as well as outdoor amenities such as the grassy grounds, pool and spa.

How much would all this luxury cost per month? According to Zillow’s mortgage calculator, a monthly payment on Barton’s home would be around $33,555, assuming 20 percent down on a 30-year fixed mortgage. If that’s too pricey, check out more homes for sale in Beverly Glen.

The listing is held by Joe Babajian of Rodeo Realty.
