Whether off or on, ordinary light fixtures always stand out in a room - sure, some can be hidden behind recesses in the wall or ceiling, but you can still spot the probable light source in any space ... well, almost.
The sisters behind MeyStyle (via Inhabitat) have developed a clever way to deploy lights right into your wallpaper, creating diffuse effects and subtle light sources that disappear when turned off or can be dimmed to create an ambient glow.
Their backgrounds in theater and interactive design led them to try and use lighting in new and creative ways, integrating it into papers, surfaces and fabrics, and bolstered by the low-energy and highly-durable nature of LEDs.
