About a year and a half ago, Kobe and Vanessa Bryant were on their way to divorce. Without a prenuptial agreement and with news of his extramarital activity, Kobe was due to lose many of his assets, including his collection of Orange County real estate.

According to a January 2012 L.A. Times story, Kobe transferred all three of the homes — worth an estimated total of $18.8 million — to Vanessa.

However, it turns out the property transfer was for naught. Today, the two are reportedly reconciled, so although Vanessa holds the properties in her name, Kobe stands to benefit from any of homes’ sales. They sold one of their homes — 4 Windemere Ct, Newport Coast CA 92657 — in January 2013 for $3.22 million and now have another property on the market at 1 Pinnacle Pt, Newport Coast, CA for $8.599 million.

The house at Pinnacle Point is a Mediterranean-style estate set behind “massive” gates in a private and gated community. According to property records, Kobe bought the home in 1997 for $1.7 million; he was selected by the Lakers in the 1996 draft. Since then, the home has had a complete remodel to include an all-new 850-square-foot gym, hair salon and a large paneled office with a shark tank. Other updates include a new home theater with wet bar and new limestone and walnut finishes throughout the home.

Measuring 8,500 square feet, the home sits on nearly half an acre of “resort-quality” grounds that include a custom pool and spa, fire pit and an outdoor kitchen with grill.

The Bryants also own another home in Orange County, an oceanfront home measuring 14,000 square feet that they purchased in 2007 for $9.54 million. As of 2012, the home was still undergoing a massive remodel, but with the Bryants recommitting to their marriage, it could be the place they’ve decided to call home.
