Jon Bon Jovi really hopes his apartment doesn’t give real estate a bad name.
Or perhaps he’s trying to live on something other than prayer.
Whatever the cheesy Bon Jovi reference, the gist is that the rocker has reduced the price on his Manhattan apartment to $39.9 million in an effort to speed up the selling process.
He first listed the swanky pad back in March for a whopping $42 million. According to the listing provided by The Corcoran Group‘s Deborah Grubman, “the journey begins when you step off the elevator into the lower-level foyer.”
The foyer is just the beginning of Bon Jovi’s massive 7,452-square-foot condo at 158 Mercer St, New York, NY 10012. The residence has a great room with floor-to-ceiling windows capturing panoramic views, 11-foot-high ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace.
Other spaces include a full media room, 2 “chef’s kitchens,” as well as a formal dining room and 3 landscaped terraces. The master suite boasts a dressing room and spacious marble bath.
If nearly $40 million still sounds pricey, imagine the monthly payment. Even with a 20 percent down payment and at today’s low mortgage rates, a monthly payment would be $160,674, according to Zillow’s mortgage calculator.
