GoPro taps ex-Hulu exec for original content push

Watchout, Netflix. Digital camera company GoPro (GPRO) seems poised to move into the original content game.

The company hired Charlotte Koh, the former head of Hulu's original content initiatives, as its head of features and series, Variety reports.

Koh will be responsible for partnering the brand with studios, networks, and Hollywood creatives in order to co-produce content using its signature GoPro camera equipment, according to the report.

GoPro's focus will be on unscripted and documentary content initially, the report notes, but it aims to branch into scripted content.

Koh told Variety that the company is will also looking to air shows and documentaries on traditional television networks.
