Google+ introduces changes to profile page

Keeping up efforts to chip away at Facebook's dominance, Google+ has rolled out some new features to profile pages. So if you haven't signed into Google+ in a while, you may want to pay a visit.

Perhaps the biggest change is to the profile "cover photo," which serves as the background for a user's mug shot. Google has blown it up. The visually-focused revamp comes just a few weeks after Facebook introduced a redesign to News Feed that focuses largely on enhancing a user's visual experience.

For the recent profile revamp, Google+ also created a page that aggregates all of a user's reviews. A user can choose to display or hide a tab that takes visitors to the new page. In addition, Google gave the About page a facelift, organizing all personal information into cards, and furnishing each with its own edit button.
