Foreclosures Make Impressive Yearly Drop
The number of U.S. homes in some stage of foreclosure fell 35 percent during the past year, according to new data from foreclosure data company CoreLogic. There were 752,000 homes in the foreclosure inventory in February 2014, down from 1.2 million one year earlier. As of February, the foreclosure inventory accounted for 1.9 percent of all mortgaged homes, a major decrease from 2.9 percent in February 2014.
