Seven-time Tour de France winner/cheater Lance Armstrong listed this Austin,Tex. estate for $10M in the wake of his doping scandal, which could still cost the cyclist millions in legal fees and judgements, but settled for just $3.1M according to reporting by Austin's American-Statesman. Armstrong purchased the 1.7-acre estate in 2004 and spent two years renovating the existing 7,850-square-foot spread. In 2008, his decorating efforts and celebrity landed the house on the pages of Architectural Digest. Despite pawning this estate off for pennies on the dollar, Armstrong claims that he would like to stay in the Austin area.
