Designers, architects, home stagers mining listing photos for inspiration

Real estate brokerage Redfin has debuted "Featured Collections," a medley of featured photo collections created by well-known industry professionals to raise the visibility of its Pinterest-like social media platform, "Redfin Collections."

The introduction of Featured Collections comes two months after Seattle-based Redfin rolled out Redfin Collections. The website allows users to create and display listing images in a manner similar to social media website Pinterest. Since Redfin Collection's introduction, the brokerage reports that users have created 3,500 collections containing a total of 32,000 listing photos.

Featured Collections are curated by real estate professionals including respected designers and architects, home stagers, photographers and media figures. Redfin believes the collections, which now appear prominently on the platform's home page, will spur more activity on the website.
