Simon Cowell's home
Correction February 20, 2014: This home is not currently owned by Simon Cowell, but he did live there previously, according to a source.
Simon Cowell is officially settling down. After floating his high-end pad in Beverly Hills as an off-market listing, the new daddy and “X-Factor” creator/judge has officially listed the home on the Multiple Listing Service for $17.9 million. Cowell first offered the home for $20 million in fall 2013, according to the Los Angeles Times.
He bought the trophy property from AEG Live’s Randy Phillips in an off-market deal for $15.5 million. Constructed in 2001, the home was designed by architects/designers Richard Landry, Didier Michot and Roy Sklarin, and sits on a two-acre, gated lot at 917 Loma Vista Dr. According to the listing, every detail, finish and surface in the home has been “masterfully executed.”
The main home features 5 bedroom suites, 7 bathrooms and 2 powder rooms. A separate guest house includes 2 additional bedrooms and baths.
While the 12,000 square feet home is large enough for Cowell, girlfriend Lauren Silverman and baby Eric, it’s reported they’re in the market for something more “family friendly.”
A source told London’s Daily Mirror: ““The house Simon has put on the market is the ultimate bachelor pad. It was designed to have fun in.”
The listing is held by Blair Chang of The Agency.
