Nov. 22: A peek at Scarlett Johansson's surprisingly modest condo and her fancy love nest on her 29th birthday

Actress Scarlett Johansson, born Nov. 22, 1984, begins the last year of her 20s today. To mark the occasion, we're revisiting two of her former homes.

The first one is the surprisingly modest Hollywood Boulevard condo that she owned for 10 years, until selling it this past summer. She got $470,000 for it, $45,000 over asking price -- about $100,000 more than she paid for it in 2003, the year that her movies "Lost in Translation" and "Girl With a Pearl Earring" came out.

Some of the condo's more interesting features included a bathroom festooned with butterflies and dramatic granite installations in the kitchen. The condo had a single bedroom and two bathrooms in 1,148 square feet -- and as the low-for-the-area selling price indicates, that's awfully modest for such a bankable Hollywood star.

Less modest was the gorgeous home in L.A.'s Los Feliz neighborhood she shared with her then-husband, Ryan Reynolds. They bought it in August 2010. Alas, the home wouldn't last long as a love nest; they announced their breakup in December of that year. That home -- two bedrooms, three baths, den, library and more in almost 3,000 square feet with "stunning unobstructed views from downtown to the ocean" -- sold in May 2012 for $3.5 million. And naturally, we have pictures of it as well.
