Miley Cyrus buys horse ranch down street from Kim and Kanye

Miley Cyrus just paid several million dollars for a horse ranch on the same street as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

The neighbors might want to watch out: With the purchase, the notorious party girl also acquires her very own vineyard, with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. (Click here or on a photo for a slideshow.)

The home is in Hidden Hills, California, outside Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. Residents of the gated area have included much of the Kardashian clan, Jennifer Lopez, Drake, LeAnn Rimes, Britney Spears, Dwayne Johnson, and Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

Cyrus' purchase was confirmed by the Los Angeles Times, which notes that although public records show that she paid $4,037,000 for the property, a news release claims the property sold for $5 million. The previous owners apparently had been trying to sell it for years, with a list price as high as $7,290,000 in 2008, but most recently it had been listed at $3,940,000.

Listing photos show that the main house, 6,000 square feet and built in 1954, is done in a homey country style with lots of exposed brick and wood floors -- entirely unlike the modern party pad that was her first adult purchase, but a little more in keeping with the suburban "Hannah Montana"-era house where she spent her teen years, and where she retreated after a scare with an apparently deranged intruder at the party pad.

One acre of the 5-acre Hidden Hills estate is devoted to a riding arena; there's also a 10-stall barn and a chicken coop with hen house.

You could see it as a return to her roots: She was born in Tennessee, and her dad is country music star Billy Ray Cyrus. When she moved to L.A. as a child performer, one of the most difficult adjustments was reportedly leaving her animals behind, including seven horses, whose tails she liked to braid. She learned to ride when she was just 2 years old (younger than Tommy Lee Jones, even!).

We're not sure how much horseback riding she'll be doing these days, though; she told Rolling Stone that "I love animals, but I don't really like riding animals. Like, I don't love being on a horse – it's just not my thing. I feel kinda bad. Like, I just want to pet you. I don't really want to put you to work."
