Even in winter, the garden can contain little surprises like these miniature cairns in Flickr user Nenita Franck's yard on the Oregon coast. In the caption of the photo, which she shared with Yahoo Homes' Flickr group, she writes: "I cleared this area of the back yard and found too many rocks, so I made little monuments to get them out of the way of plantings."
