Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are throwing down their toolbelts, giving up on the renovation of their $9 million never-lived-in Bel-Air mansion, and buying a $20 million home in her mom's neighborhood.

Early last year, they bought a newly built Tuscan-style mansion in Los Angeles' ultra-swanky Bel-Air neighborhood. At 9,000 square feet, it had 5 bedrooms and 7 baths on about three-quarters of an acre. (It's the yellow house pictured above.)

Finding it almost to their liking, they embarked on some pretty dramatic renovations, reportedly to bring it up to 14,000 square feet. In the meantime, they've been staying with her mom, Kris Jenner, in Hidden Hills, California. "I truly didn't think our house would take this long," Kardashian told a Twitter fan in February. "But now I love living here. It has everything I could ever need, and I love spending all of this time with my mom and sisters. I will be definitely ready to go when our house is finally done but going to miss it too. Nothing better than the whole family seeing our daughter daily."

Yet the reno is turning out to be more work than they expected, E! Online reports. "They are such perfectionists that staying up-to-date with the latest appliances and home systems, etc., has been exhausting for them," an "insider" said. "They want to sell very soon, but they might just finish the house enough to get it on the market without trying to make it their perfect home. They have no interest in becoming professional 'flippers' but rather have found the entire process exhausting."

So they've found a new new home, right in Jenner's Valley neighborhood, according to E! Online and to TMZ. They shouldn't have too much trouble sharing this one; it has two (or more) of just about everything:

• Two master baths.
• Two pools.
• Two spas.
• Two "BBQ centers."
• Three (!) kitchen islands.
• Two vineyards.

There's been "nothing like this created before in Hidden Hills," the listing claims, and we're not inclined to doubt it.

The newly built "French Country piece de resistance," with about 15,500 square feet of living space (including 8 bedrooms, 10 baths and an "entertaining pavilion") on 3 acres, was listed at about $21 million. The celebrity couple reportedly just entered escrow and will pay a bit less than list price.
