Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley buy revamped designer digs in Beverly Hills
Jason Statham has a sleek new garage for that Ferrari F12 Berlinetta he just bought: Statham and his model girlfriend, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, have purchased a designer home in Beverly Hills, California, for $13 million.
The couple bought the 5,600-square-foot home from fashion designer Jenni Kayne and her real estate agent husband, Richard Ehrlich, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Statham and Huntington-Whiteley reportedly split the bill.
Kayne and Ehrlich put a lot of work into the five-bedroom, eight-bathroom Beverly Hills home, and it shows -- not only in the details of the renovation (executed by the Los Angeles architecture and design firm Standard) but in the price increase. The couple purchased the 1980s home nine years ago for $4.6 million.
The home has been featured in a number of high-end architecture and design sites. It has a natural, earthy feel integrated into the sleek, modern lines, stemming from the reclaimed barn wood used on ceilings and moldings throughout the home, as well as for counters and built-in seating.
Statham is known as the star of a slew of action movies series including "The Transporter," "The Expendables," "Fast & Furious" and "Crank."
Huntington-Whiteley is known for her body-baring work as a Victoria's Secret Angel and is building a lingerie empire. But she too has an action-movie resume (though not quite as extensive as her beau's). She played Sam Witwicky's love interested in the third Transformers installment and will be appearing in the new Mad Max movie as a character named Splendid.
