Bjork is selling humble Iceland summerhouse

Bjork's stage presence and fashion choices may be outlandish, but the summerhouse that she has owned for 13 years on the shore of Iceland's Lake Thingvallavatn isn't at all showy.

Nor is the price tag she's given it: 28 million Icelandic króna, or about $205,000.

The humble two-bedroom, one-bath cottage was built in 1965, the same year that Bjork was born (making them both 50 this year). It's about 1,000 square feet and has a 200-square-foot boathouse and 60-square-foot storage space as well.

Of course, it is Bjork's, so a little eccentricity is to be expected. An antler chandelier echoes her fondness for headdresses, and a light fixture in the kitchen — above what appears to be a stuffed and mounted owl — looks not unlike a bristling headpiece she's been known to wear in concert.

It sits on about an acre of land overlooking Iceland's largest natural lake, less than an hour's drive from the capital, Reykjavik, and about seven miles along the lake coastline from Thingvellir, the "national shrine of Iceland" in Thingvellir National Park. (A mistaken report said it was in the southern town of Selfoss. In fact, Selfoss appears to be the administrative center for the home's region.)

She bought it right around her birthday in November 2002.
