Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis are dumping his-and-hers bachelor pads for baby

With a new baby girl due very soon -- the scuttlebutt says late August, early September -- celebrity couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are dumping their respective bachelor(ette) pads in Los Angeles. (Pictured in the split image is his house at left, hers at right. Click here or on an image for a slideshow of both.)

You might remember Kutcher's single-guy dream house in the Hollywood Hills as the one that Justin Bieber supposedly wanted to buy out from under then-renter Kutcher a couple of years ago. Kutcher joked on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that he was forced to buy the house (paying $8,455,000, after renting for somewhere in the neighborhood of $60,000 a month) to keep it out of Bieber's hands.

Our friends at Trulia report that he just sold the ludicrously baby-unfriendly place for $9,925,000, which means he made about $1.5 million on the deal (not counting any updates he might have undertaken). Heck, child-proofing the angular, glassy modern -- with its manifold "sky terraces" and other "floating" decks and rooms, per an earlier listing -- probably would have cost that much.

The Los Angeles Times, which reported in May that Kutcher was quietly seeking $12 million for the home, confirmed that he'd sold it.

Meanwhile, nearly six miles and a 20-minute drive away on the other side of the Hollywood Freeway, Kunis has listed her glamorous Mediterranean-style ranch house in the hills above West Hollywood, according to Zillow Blog.

Her much more feminine (dare we say pretty?) house was built in 1958, property records indicate, which makes it nearly half a century older than the 2007-built house sold by Kutcher. But it has been "completely redone from to to bottom with no expense overlooked," the listing hastens to reassure prospective buyers.

She bought the place in 2008 for $2,885,000 and has listed it at $3,995,000.

Kutcher and Kunis, former co-stars of "That '70s Show," have reportedly paid a bit over $10 million for a Beverly Hills house that's more familial and traditional-looking (according to the one aerial shot that's available). Built in 1999, it has 7,400 square feet of living space.
