Helped me buy home
James is very helpful and has a lot of knowledge about real estate. We met him when we were looking for the house in Louisa area. He showed us a beautiful house on 5 acre yard. When we made an offer for this house, he put a lot of efforts to pursue the owner to sell the house to us. Eventually we signed the contract and moved to our new house.

James has been a great help both buying and selling. I could not have ask for better service. He helped us sell a farm and to buy rental units. His knowledge of the local market was so great but were able to follow him. He took the time to explain everything to us. He also ask us to ask questions so we would understand what was going on.

Listed and sold a home
Jim Dickerson sold our home this past summer in Charlottesville, VA. When everyone else was complaining about the slow market, Jim had offers coming in almost immediately. We think this was due to Jim's pre-listing advice, his knowledge of our local market and his tremendous access to large numbers of people buying and selling their homes: 1. He had us de-clutter and advised us where to repaint, repair, etc., (Just enough to make the difference, but not enough to break the bank.) 2. He created a very appealing video tour of our home ( I was impressed; almost made me want to pull our home off the market.) 3. He asked us to write a letter to potential buyers, describing why we loved our home. He then had our letter printed on the back of the For Sale Flyer. We can't say enough about the effectiveness of this approach. One lady read our letter and said, "You're selling the American Dream." 5. He always got immediate feedback from other realtors who showed our home. We used this timely information to make minor adjustments throughout the entire process. 4. And he told us "No" when we were being unreasonable (I appreciated this as much as anything else.) Jim Dickerson is a "Professional." We will always use him for our real estate needs. We recommend you talk with Jim before hiring someone else. Less ... More

Helped me buy home
My husband and I chose Jim as our Real Estate Agent for several reasons; not the least of which is the fact that we are members of the same church. We have known him for a number of years as a friend, fellow Christian and community leader. Jim's extensive involvement in and commitment to local and regional organizations and events is highly commendable. He regularly contributes his time and energy to others. It is these very attributes that make Jim such an honest and amicable person to work with, during such an important and stressful stage in our lives. Although our search was long, (I'm sure we tested his patience a few times!) Jim never failed to encourage and support us with his endless flow of knowledge and unfailing professionalism, throughout the process. (*__*) Less ... More

Jim Dickerson has handled my dads estate and sold most of his real estate. He is very professional and trustworthy . He does a lot of community services, a brother Mason and Associate Member of the Fraternal Order of Police. As the President of the Thompson Hall Lodge # 5 , Fraternal Order of Police Bob Romanac I recomend him to anyone with the highest respect that anyone can have . He deserves a lot of credit and should be rewarded for his hard work and caring for others.
