It's been nearly four years now since singer Sheryl Crow first listed her sprawling "solar farm"-slash-"equestrian property" in College Grove, Tennessee. So why not try another deep discount? Originally asking $7.5 million, she's now willing to settle for almost half that: just $3.85 million.
When she first put 6664 Cross Keys Road on the market in March 2010, she was offering about 150 acres. After various maneuvers -- an online auction, a whopping 40 percent price cut and a division of the property into two parcels back in 2011, various delists and relists, and even a price increase (hey, it worked for Howie Mandel!) -- it's back on the market for a lower price than ever. And yet the dang thing still hasn't sold.
The property that she's now offering at $3.85 million has a third the land of the original package. But those 50 acres include the main "estate home" plus staff quarters and a two-bedroom guest house, a saltwater pool with fountains, two shaded arbors, a basement recording studio, two solar systems that reduce electricity costs by almost 50 percent, and a 14-stall barn complete with "western saloon and rocking-chair porch."
And, as if that weren't enough, the property is "a great hay producer" to boot!
What do you think? Is it starting to sound like a bargain yet?
