Nick Jonas buys a home in L.A.

The Jonas Brothers broke the hearts of teen fans everywhere when they suddenly announced that their swoon-inducing boy band had broken up — at least for now. They canceled their fall tour, explaining to “Good Morning America” that “we feel like we’re best suited to do our own individual things.”

Nick Jonas, who initiated the breakup, closed on a $3.2 million L.A. home just two days after the brothers’ “GMA” appearance. He'd been renting a New York apartment from hockey player Scott Gomez while starring in the Broadway play “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” Designer Marc Jacobs previously lived in the apartment.

Jonas' new place is set behind large gates above the Sunset Strip in L.A.’s Hollywood Hills neighborhood. Boasting views of the ocean and city lights, the Spanish-style home was built in 1938 and “renovated to exacting standards,” according to the listing. The whitewashed stucco home has 4 bedrooms and 5 baths on a 2,305-square-foot floor plan, and it includes such high-end details as a gourmet kitchen, steam shower in the master suite and a celeb favorite: state-of-the-art security. | By Erika Riggs, Zillow
