Timbaland's former condo
If you’ve listened to any pop, R&B or hip-hop music released from 1996 until now, chances are you’ve heard Timbaland’s work. The Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer and rapper has been the go-to guy for an array of top performers, including Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Jay-Z.
It’s safe to assume that some of the big-name artists he’s worked with have probably stepped foot inside his 3,979-square-foot Miami Beach condo, which is listed for $5.5 million.
The condo, located at 400 Alton Rd APT 2401, Miami Beach, FL 33139, was purchased under his real name, Timothy Mosley, in 2006 for $2.625 million. The 3-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom condo is in the luxury Murano Grande complex.
Timbaland recently completed $2 million in renovations with high-end real estate developer Shlomy Alexander, according to The Wall Street Journal. Highlights of the elaborately designed interior included Portuguese limestone flooring throughout and towering pillars.
This is not the first time this condo has been in the news. In 2011, Timbaland reportedly failed to pay the condo’s assessment fees, resulting in a foreclosure warning. As soon as he was notified, he paid the fee and attributed the missed payment to a “clerical error.”
Timbaland’s list of collaborations continues to grow. Most recently, he produced Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience” album, featuring the MTV Video Music Award-nominated hits “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors.” He also produced Beyonce’s song “Grown Woman,” which is featured in her 2013 Pepsi commercial.
The listing is held by Oren Alexander of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
