MoNique rental house
The owners of the Roswell mansion first sued the Academy Award-winning actress for not paying $370,000 in rent, reported TMZ. The actress and her husband countered with their own lawsuit, claiming that they weren’t paying because the home had severe problems, which included odors of dog feces and urine, as well as an overflowing septic tank, mold problems and a broken security gate. Not the description you would expect for a home that rented for $22,000 a month.
The lawsuit was settled in September, and at the time, Mo’Nique was still living in the home. Now with the house on the market, perhaps the actress has finally moved out.
Sitting on 10 acres, the property — coined Chateau Tivoli — is located at 12430 King Rd, Roswell, GA 30075 and includes a carriage house, 8-car garage, barn, two lighted tennis courts and pool with spa. Inside, the 7,292-square-foot home has 8 bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, wine cellar and gym.
The home is listed by Atlanta real estate agent Matthew Maurer of New Choice Real Estate Inc.
