    Gucci Heiress Lists California Estate

    Patricia Gucci's home

It’s not quite the “House of Gucci,” but heiress Patricia Gucci’s estate is every bit as sophisticated as the luxury brand’s designs.

Born and raised in London, England and later working in Switzerland, Gucci — granddaughter of the founder of “House of Gucci” and daughter of Aldo Gucci, who took the brand worldwide — bought the Mountain Center, CA. retreat for $950,000 in 1993. As she works to develop her own brand in Europe, Gucci is selling the home, reportedly because she no longer has the time to enjoy the space. The house is listed for $9 million.

Situated 15 minutes from Palm Desert at 57425 Palm Seco Cir, Mountain Center, CA 92561, Gucci’s 23-acre property has an 11,000-square-foot home with 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Described as a “contemporary Moroccan” estate, the home also has a large pool and spa, guest house, tennis court and indoor media room.

The home is listed by Mountain Center real estate agents Richard Bartholomew and Jane Dorian of Partners Trust.

According to Zillow’s Mortgage Calculator, a monthly mortgage payment on the home would be $31,224 assuming a 20 percent down payment on a 30-year mortgage.
