Chris Kattan's house
He may have made his big splash at 30 Rockefeller Center as a quirky member of the “Saturday Night Live” crew, but Chris Kattan is a Hollywood-area kid, born and bred.
Now the comedian has listed his secluded home at 1746 Courtney Ave., Los Angeles CA 90046 for $1.998 million.
Among the biggest selling points for the Hollywood Hills property is its incredibly private location and lush grounds, all set behind an ornate iron gate. The 2-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home has its share of Hollywood pedigree: It was once owned by another funnyman, Danny DeVito, reports the Real Estalker blog.
In addition to vintage details inside the 1924-era abode, the place sports a Batchelder fireplace, crown molding and hardwood floors.
A large living room, terrific den and formal dining room lead to a charming indoor/outdoor patio. There’s also a master bedroom with en-suite featuring a walk-in shower and separate soaking tub beneath a lovely bay window.
The lower level includes guest quarters with bath, fireplace and access either from inside main house or outside, where a super secluded grotto-like pool awaits.
The 43-year-old actor was born in Sherman Oaks, but later moved to Mount Baldy, CA before attending high school on Bainbridge Island near Seattle. Since leaving SNL in 2003, Kattan has hopscotched around the entertainment world, appearing in TV series’ (“The Middle,” “Walk of Fame”) and commercials.
