I had originally contacted another agent that got many rave reviews here on Yelp, but she was unable to assist me and referred me to Alicia. My wife and I are first time buyers, there is plenty we do not know, and Alicia had an answer for all of it. Frequently, when face with a decision of this magnitude one is very sensitive to how others, who are more experienced in the given situation, may perceive them, and it is easy to feel like you are being talked down to for asking stupid questions, this is not a problem with Alicia. She was forthright with all of the information requested from her, and gentle in its delivery when that consideration was appropriate. When it came to referrals, she set us up with a great mortgage broker (Cheri Frazell - NW Mortgage), and an extremely thorough home inspector (Wayne @ Red Wall Property Inspector, he is awesome). She responded to every concern we had quickly, and got us an awesome deal on the home we purchased. In fact, the exact home sold for about 12,000 more a couple weeks later right down the street, from the same builder, same floor plan, difference? They didnt have Alicia on their side. As first time homebuyers, we were so nervous about the process of buying a home - there seemed to be so many things that could go wrong, and we didn't want to make a mistake. Alicia met up with us for a cup of coffee, listened to our story, answered our long list of questions (Are we really ready? Can we really afford this?) and then took us out on New Year's Day to look at 10 different homes. She steered us well and encouraged us to look at a few places that we were on the fence about ... and good thing, because our dream home ended up being a townhome we weren't all too excited to see based on the listing and photos.
