We tried to buy a house from The Hunt Group who is associated with Fathom Realty and they were awful! It was the worst home buying experience I've ever had! Our financing fell through toward the end of the process and they wouldn't return our $2,000 deposit! Our realtor tried a bunch of times to work with them-even explained our situation and that we were first time home buyers. However, these guys already had it in contract with another buyer and had it sold a week later. Not sure how legit that was! I'm sure the other people with Fathom Realty are great, But Jason or Brenton with the Hunt Group were HORRIBLE! Do not buy a house from them! Less

My review is for Fathom Realty and the person whom I had the most contact with was Cindy Leach. Cindy Leach is a phenomenal real estate agent, I have nothing but positive things to say about her work ethic and my experience with her when purchasing my first home in Cary, NC. Cindy took the time to understand my basic needs for a home, as well as my "must have" list and my "gee that would be awesome" list. I was very secure in knowing that she was searching for listings that best matched my taste and needs. All of the listings we viewed were of high quality and mostly matched what I was after. Cindy's demeanor is delightful to be around. She is wonderful at engaging you in dialog about the houses you are viewing. She has a very knowledgeable, prepared and focused outlook all wrapped up in a friendly, comical, and relatable package. By the time I had purchased my home, Cindy felt like part of the family. As mentioned before, she is very prepared - for each home we viewed, she had all of the listing information available and knew a fair amount about the home beforehand. She made me a folder that was very well organized, that we added information to, as we went along. I now have a neat folder to refer to whenever I have questions about the transaction. She was also able to get this information to me on a usb device. I am extremely happy with my home. If I were to sell this one, or purchase another, I would go to no one else, but Cindy. I refer anyone I know that is looking for a home to the care and guidance of Cindy. When I first began looking for a home I did a Yahoo! search and came across Fathrom Realty! It was my good fortune to leave Fonville and stick with Cindy during her transition to Fathom Realty. First off, this is my first experience in selling a home. The professionalism friendliness and attention to detail that Cindy exhibited far exceeded my expectations. Words can not express how impressed I was with her knowledge and expertise of Real Estate and the best way to handle situations as they would arise throughout this process. Now having relocated to the Boston area Cindy was alone in the process of showing and making my house a desirable commodity. When I accepted my new position as an Associate Vice Chancellor for Research at UNC Chapel Hill, my excitement was soon replaced with apprehension due to our urgent need to find a new house on a very tight schedule.
