As we began our search remotely, we were very fortunate that Vicki was recommended to us. Although we have some familiarity with Oahu, the website was very helpful in focusing our search. With any home search, particularly when conducted remotely, good communication is paramount. Communication with Vicki was outstanding. Phone and email messages always received a prompt response. Also, she obviously listens well because she quickly understood our preferences and concerns. This became evident in email exchanges and through the additional information, both positive and negative, that she would provide with the properties listed in our search results. We eventually found a property that we really liked, but our offer was just one of several offers submitted to the seller. Our offer was also not the highest and the seller had doubts about us given that we were making the offer remotely. Vicki works hard and she is very organized and efficient. Through her efforts, the seller's doubts were removed and our offer was accepted. We are convinced that she made the difference in this transaction falling in our favor. A Note of Appreciation for Vicki Yu My venture into Hawaii started with a five day visit, last December, to friends who had retired to Honolulu, Hawaii. Totally overwhelmed by the charm of Hawaii, I went on a whim to find a vacation home in Waikiki with only 4 days left in my visit. Luckily they recommended Vicki, a realtor on Oahu and it was such an opportunity of good fortune to work with her. We discussed what I was looking for. She immediately set up a personal homepage for me and presented me with an array of choices for online viewing. This allowed my wife, who was not with me at the time, to participate in the selection and choices of homes on the market to visit. We were able to communicate online and by phone for Vicki to set up quickly a series of visits of homes for the next two days. With her knowledge and advice of the Honolulu real estate market, I was able to arrive at where and what I wanted and Vicki arranged efficiently the visits to the candidate homes through appointments and lock-boxes. The first day she presented me with a variety of types of homes within my target price range. She was attentive and focused on my home search and answered our questions immediately.
