The only negative review I see also mentions this agents brother, who was also my agent. This was my first home purchase and I should have used more precaution. Buyer beware, right? Aaron's agency itself seemed very professional, however, in hindsight and having had his brother Travis as my agent, I wish I had been more methodical about my home purchase. The house wasn't complete, plumbing included, yet had all been signed off by the city inspectors. The builder is also a high ranking member of the police force. None of the agreed upon terms were upheld by the builder or agent as a part of the purchase agreement (leveling the ground, removing rocks and metal debris from the yard, putting down grass, fixing a warped door, etc.) and there's been several problems since, including the water heater dumping substantial amounts of water (up to an increase of 2x to 3x a regular months water bill because of forgetting to install a pressure reducer from the main water line, and also once out of builders warranty, installing appropriate structural reinforcing to the roof support beams (the builder came by one day, dropped of the wood as I was leaving for work, I wasn't able to stay at home while the builder installed, so he said to contact to make arrangements to put in, but never responded back once I did). This would probably have been duly noted before purchasing had I had a home inspection, however the agent advised against it as a waste of money as it was a new property and the builder in his words was a trusted builder. Whom upon signing all purchasing agreements, I realized was a good friend of the agents. The interests of the builder seem of my priority than those of the buyer. Anytime I had a question, the agent was short if too busy to make time to adequately provide a full legitimate answer and as though it was a novice question and to trust his discretion. I've learned a lot from this first home purchase about what to ask, never take your agents word without a home inspection, and to more properly check the neighboring area (as I've seen a 15% depreciation in the past two and a half years on my townhouse, whereas all the neighbors have had an appreciation, due to my immediate neighbors yard clutter and multi car spill over). Like I said before, the adage rings true... "Buyer beware" always investigate! Nobody's going to have your best interest in mind moreso than yourself. Less

Showed house three times as many times in six months as the first agency I used for a year. Excellent communication with me. Staff has been very helpful with "staging" the house and offering valuable advice and materials to promote the property. Highly recommended. note: (sale has not yet been finalized However I am certain it will and am very well pleased)

I do not come by this decision lightly, but I will say by far that this office was the worst office I have dealt with in the history of dealing with my home. I tried countless times to fix the issue I was having with the agent and the broker Aaron, but every attempt failed miserably. In the end I am left only saying the the broker Aaron Shipley and the agent Travis Shipley failed me greatly.

Travis really took into consideration what we were looking for in a home. He met and exceeded our expectations, and helped us find the home of our dreams for a fair price.

I have purchased and sold several homes and have worked with 7 or more agents over the years and Travis is by far he most generous, patient and knowledgeable thus far. He is obviously concerned with more than just selling houses and his commission. He has gone above and beyond what should be expected in our search for a home our happiness is his # 1 concern. I was looking for a good agent but feel now that I have also gained a friend within the Chattanooga community.

We have been impressed with the marketing the Shipley Team has done to sell our home. Sally McNulty, our listing captain has provided us with thorough follow up, accessilibity and has kept us apprised important market data in our neighborhood. It is apparent to us that the whole team is working on our behalf and expending a great deal of energy to get our home sold. We couldnt' ask for more and would rate higher than 5 stars!

We had a bad experience with a previous agent and our house was on the market for 8 months. Brandi (with Aaron's team) showed us a house and in the process told us to stage our home a different way, knowing she wouldn't reap any benefits because we were still under contract with another agent. We rec'd no communication and contact from our agent but Brandi went out of her way to call us and check on the staging process and sent us a thank you card for allowing her to show us a home. When our contract was up, we immediately contacted Brandi to list our home with her. They were so nice to be there for us above and beyond, since we had a horrible previous experience. Brandi sold our house within a month's time and has made the process so fast and smooth. We are using them again to help us find a house. Aaron is a genius and so much fun to work with. I was blown away by is knowledge and just how accurate is was on every detail and how everything was going to unfold. He never missed a beat and was not one but two steps ahead of everyone else. What a negotiator, he is a machine, just give him what he wants. Just thin he works for me. I would recommend him and in fact have several times, he makes me look good to my peers when I give his name out. On top of all of this he really does have the numbers to back it up.
