Having never worked with the Tierney Team before, we can honestly say that this experience in the purchase of our home, was the smoothest ever. Dale & Kara made sure that we completely understood the purchase process from the start; including pre-approval, meeting with the financial institution, on to the many homes we viewed, and to the signing of the final documents. They were always available to answer questions and get us through the next house that met our criteria. Their response time to us was always timely. The Tierney Team is far superior to every realtor we have ever used! They got our house sold and got us our asking price in a very difficult market. Their communication is excellent as we got regular updates, feedback and quick responses to all our concerns. Their marketing knowledge and skills in knowing all the legal details helped with everything from the listing to the closing.

When I bought my house during the housing boom, I was really impressed by Dale's responsiveness and knowledge, so when I sold my house, it seemed reasonable to stick with him. Unfortunately, that decision ultimately wasn't a good one. He knew that we were serious about selling our home since we were already in the process of relocating when we listed, but he constantly gave us advice that kept our house at the top end of other homes like ours. After a year and a half of trying to get a sale with Dale, we sought the assistance of another realtor, took the advice, and sold our home within 30 days. I hope that Dale might rediscover the capabilities that I believe he still posesses. This challenging market requires a new thinking that I don't know if he's fully embraced yet. When interviewing any realtor, ask how they would persuade a buyer to buy YOUR home when considering it against other similar homes. If you aren't sold by what you hear, it might be worth talking to other realtors. Less

We thank Lisa Hinkley for reviewing us, but we only wish the information she shared was more accurate. The severely declining market at that time plus the nuances & condition of her early 1900?s built home made it even more of a challenge to sell. We continually study our market with regard to local trends & what Lisa did not include in her review was that we would share relevant pricing data to her with recommendations to reduce. Every time we suggested a larger price reduction (3-5%), she would want to keep it minimal (1-2%) and therefore we could only chase price in the weakening market. Towards the end of our last listing agreement, we said she needed to be at $100K or less in order to see an offer in 30 days. She then took this advice & secured a different agent (with total disregard to all the work we had done to that point). Interestingly, this other agent even called us to talk about pricing before listing it. It was then priced at $100K and went to contract as we anticipated. Less

Dale worked with me to sell my home in Lansing. Him and his staff were fantastic to work with. I have worked with 2 other realtors in previous years and he was by far the most knowledgeable and organized out of all of them. They were quick to update me on any showings and offers that came in, even going as far to send me recordings of the comments of other realtors showings on what we could improve to the home to help it sell faster.
