Some kids threw a beer party in the home. They marked up the walls and burnt a hole in master bedroom carpet. Beer cans were left in the fireplace. A broom stick handle could have prevented the intruders from entering the home. Somebody should have locked up the townhous after the bank took their pictures.. It was done after the Bank took their pictures for the evaluation. When homes get close to closing, someone should check the home and make sure it is locked up. If there would have been major damage, this sale would still be pending or lost. The realty association needs to address this problem. My husband and I recently purchased a cabin in Brian Head. Our first call was to the listing agents' office where we got some erroneous information that the property was already under contract. My husband then called John to see what he could find out for us. Turns out, there was an offer submitted (and another on the way) but we still had time to put in an offer of our own. We hadn't seen the inside of the property, but time was of the essence... Within the hour, John was driving me up to see the property -- it was as great as we had imagined and we went straight back to John's office and prepared an offer, which a few days later was accepted! Working with John was really great. He was always very honest with us, in telling us where we needed to be at price wise to compete in the market. After finally deciding to take his advice and list our home at the market price, we had a cash offer in a matter of days, and were able to close in a little over a week. There had not been a sale of a listed property in our price range in the local market for nearly six months, and we listed our home with the Ames Team and had it under contract in 10 business days. The transaction was difficult to close (complications with buyer financing, etc) but the Ames Team brought it in for a gentle landing and we successfully closed. I recommend them highly and will be back again when the opportunity presents itself.
