I recently bought a short sale property with Brittany as my agent. Brittany was very nice to work with, full of energy, and very responsive. Prior to contacting Brittany, I talked to several real estate agents about buying short sale properties. They all told me the same thing: forget it if you gonna use FHA. Brittany Salem was helpful over the phone and by email at first. But our first scheduled meeting at a property was a strange event. When I arrived at the property, I saw that Brittany had just emailed me saying that the showing was off. She said that the owner of the property called her and said the house will be taken off the market because her spouse is sick and they have other things to worry about. With this late notice, I wish Brittany had called me immediately. But as I sat there at the property, I see a different realtor showing the house to other clients. I asked the realtor, the property owner and her son about the ?taking house off the market due to sickness? story and it was not true. Til this day I don?t understand how this strange story originated but I can say that Brittany then blew me off by not returning my phone calls or emails. We are now working with a better realtor. When our initial mortgage company couldn't get back to us in time to make the purchase work, she helped us connect with a great mortgage company (George Mason Mortgage) to secure our loan at a great rate and with a lot of accomodations from the lender and, eventually, from the seller as well.
