I've known John We for years and worked with him for the last year looking for a great house in a certain location. With not much out there where we wanted to purchase, John had to be on the ball when something came up. After looking at a few houses over the past year, our house popped up on the market. John immediatly sent us the listing and we jumped to go look at it. Knowing this house wouldn't last on the market because of the newer construction and low price, we put in an offer. Multiple offers were on the table and we were asked to put in a second offer. John used a good strategy with offering full price with a kicker, if needed, up to $1000 above asking price. We won the bidding as the next lowest price was $500 above asking price. The house was well below market price and was well worth what we paid for it. We couldn't be happier with our new house, we have plenty of room now for the kids and the dog and the neighborhood is quiet and great.Thanks to John DeMay for getting us into our dream house :) Less

we were moving to the marquette area and did not know much about the area. john was a wonderful person to have helping us. he is very knowledgeable about the construction of houses so had the answers to all of our questions about construction issues when viewing homes. he was constantly sending us new homes to look at, made suggestions to get us to consider things and to look at some homes we might not have and was very low key, especially since we were vague and indecisive at times. i respected his knowledge in all areas and we felt he was very honest and up front with us. he went above and beyond answering questions about all sorts of things and was available when we needed him. during the negotiation process john was smart, helpful, and worked hard to help us get the house we wanted at the best price. we would hope everyone could have such a good experience with a realtor as we had with john Less

My husband and I would most definitely recommend John DeMay in assisting you to find your next home! We wanted to find a home so that we could start our family, and to get out of the tiny apartment we've been renting for more than two years. The two of us had no money saved up for closing costs, or any other charges we needed in order to buy a home. John recommended someone to us so that we could have our dream come true. We told John what areas we wanted to look in, and right away he started sending us options via email to preview. He took us to every home we wanted to see, even the really bad ones (ha!), and never had any complaint. John is an amazing agent, and person. I had been looking at houses for 5 years in Negaunee every summer when I was in town for Pioneer Week. John was the first agent in all that time that took my request seriously from out of town and kept our appt when I was in town. Working around both the sellers and my jammed schedule. Only being in town one week a year, John was my life line to the UP and the process. We ran into banking challenges due to unforeseen issues with the lenders employees, appraisals, and general delays in the over all process. Being 1200 miles away, John was always available and went above and beyond to put pressure on the local offices to get things moving when they stalled. He was instrumental in negotiations when the sale price needed to be brought into line with the banks appraisals. Let me start out by saying I am not the easiest person to deal with. I can be a very demanding person and John met and exceeded my expectations for a real estate agent. My wife and myself asked John to do the impossible, we wanted to sell our house and buy the home of our dreams(that was soon to be foreclosed on) within 3 months. John had 10 showings on our house within the first 2 weeks of it being on the market and after 16 days we had an offer. John had other homes lined up for us to look at just in case the house we wanted fell through and we never had to wait more than 24 hours to look at a home that we wanted to see. If my wife or myself ever needed a question answered John always had the answer within 24 hours for us. John was an absolute pleasure to work with.
