I was working with another agent for over a month with little success. The agent was pushy, telling me I need to put an offer that is more than the asking price for property that was overpriced. The property was not quite what I had envisioned but it had lots of potential. We found Kurt Wannebo of San Diego Real Estate & Investments by scouring the Internet, reading and listening to many "pitches" on different websites. After much discussion we felt that we would be very comfortable with Kurt's company and his team. I received a recommendation to San Diego Real Estate and Investments (SDREAI) earlier this year when seeking a real estate company and agent that would be best suited to assist me in my specific type of real estate sale. I do very few things in life without recommendations, so this was of great importance as I contemplated putting my condo on the market. When choosing to list my short sale with San Diego Real Estate and Investments, I relied heavily on other people's honest opinions regarding their experiences, so I would like to share mine also. From the start, I found that SDREI had a very good handle on the entire process. After meeting with Kurt on the phone and in person to answer every single of my many, many questions to my satisfaction, I then worked with Tiffany from his staff for the duration of the transaction. Her, like Kurt, were both very knowledgeable and helpful. I really liked that she kept me in the loop of the process every step of the way - I didn't every have to ask "what's going on?". I found that to be very helpful. Although there were some things that they could not control, like the lender not moving very quickly, they did what they needed to tactfully escalate the situation to the superior of the lagging negotiator, and they did get the attention required to still proceed in a timely manner. Again, I was informed about the situation and her plan to give him a little time, then escalate further - this was done without me having to ask about it. We were doing all our research for our home still confused about what to do. We came across Kurt Wannebo's website clicked on it and liked what we saw. We gave him a call to discuss our situation . He was very personnable and e-mailed us a very informative video to watch at our discresction and then he said to give him a call back. After watching the video and speaking with him we decieded to short sale our home. We heard many stories from people about the problems and hassels. We are happy to tell you that Kurt and his staff made the entire process simple and smooth . We could contact them by phone or e-mail they told us exactly what they needed we could e-mail everything back and forth since we live far out. San Diego Real Estate and Investments is AMAZING!!!! I had spent over 2 years dealing with another company here in San Diego. First trying to do a loan modification and then subsequently attempting a short sale, neither of which was successful. After postponing our sale date an uncountable number of times I was informed that the bank was not willing to postpone our sale date again. I was told that there was nothing that could be done and that our house would be sold at auction. At this point things seemed hopeless and as a last effort to try to prevent a foreclosure I contacted Kurt. Kurt set me up with Tiffany Abbiate who is one of the agents on the team. Within a few weeks Tiffany was able to obtain an offer, submit it to the bank and successfully postpone our sale date despite being told by the previous company I was working with that the bank wouldn't postpone it again. To make a long story short escrow closed last month and we successfully completed the short sale. Kurt, Tiffany, and the rest of the team are awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. Everyone was very professional, they work quickly and there's no B.S. They are very straight forward with you regarding your situation and where things are at in the process. My husband and I recently sold our house in a process neither one of us was familiar with, called a short sale.
