Jamie helped us buy our house in El Macero when we moved there from DC, and then helped us sell it when we had an unanticipated move back due to a job change. When we found out about our move, we also learned we would have a very short time frame in which to sell our house. Immediately, Jamie made herself available to the extent that we felt as if we were her only client, when we knew that she was actually quite busy. She helped us talk through all the various scenarios and understand as best as we could what our likely outcomes were. Her knowledge of the local market and what was likely to be happening in the near future in the market was a huge benefit in our decision-making. Given the terrible state of the real estate market when we put our house on the market in April 2009 we would have to say our experience overall dealing with Jaimie was very satisfactory. She has a lot of energy and works tirelessly for her clients. That we put our house on the market and sold it some 7 months later, as we said, in a terrilbe market, speaks to Jaimie's tenacity in working to market her listings. We put our home on the market at a price that seemed reasonable at the time based on comps then currently for sale in our category. This price seemed all the more accurate when a comparable home on the next street brought in a quick offer not too much off their asking price. That offer eventually fell through and that event marked the beginning of readjustments to our price in a very tough real estate market. We quickly became aware that, while our home had some appealing features, there were also some huge negatives that were holding back the few potentially interested buyers. Jaimie tactfully made us aware of these drawbacks, realizing that she would not be serving us well if she withheld pertinent real time data, however negative that might be. We eventually found an asking price that brought a very good buiyer and we sold and moved on.
