While visiting Durham, NC from IL last July for a two week vacation to visit my son and daughter-in-law, I began looking at various on-line listings just to satisfy my curiosity about the pricing and availability of the local housing market. My plan to eventually relocate to the area was not a high priority but had been discussed at times over the years. In fact, I had no intention of doing anything more than ?window shop? on line while the kids were at work. As I continued to look for several days in a row, I became somewhat interested in a few of the homes and decided the only way I could really judge them would be to arrange for someone to show them to me. That evening, my son and daughter-in-law agreed to drive me by a few addresses I had written down. Once we saw the outside, there were several that I wanted to see more of. When we returned home, I went back on line to look for a particular realtor whose reviews I had read as they would randomly pop up on the screen when I was searching the home listings. I recalled reading the reviews written by clients that seemed to stand out above all the others I read but I hadn?t written down her name and was not sure if I could find a particular pop-up. I bought my first house with Michele when I was 24. I didn't know how to do anything, but she was great at helping me with every step and never made me feel stupid. I had to email her many many times with small questions here and there. She would always get back to me, even if she was swamped with other work. I know that my friend used Michele to buy her first home as well, and my friend was very picky about the type of house she wanted. Michele was very patient and took my friend to over 40 houses in one weekend when they still lived in another state.
