Jean was fabulous to work with! We were relocating from afar and came into town for a whirlwind house search. She had everything organized and lined up for us to look at. She understood what we were looking for and worked hard to make sure we were happy.

We began seriously searching for lakefront property in June 2010. We had a vague idea of what we wanted when we met Jean; she asked insightful questions and carefully listened to our answers, before putting together lists of possible properties for us to view. As we started looking at properties and saw what was available, we developed a more definite idea of what things were most important to us. When the first summer of searches failed to lead to a purchase, Jean suggested ways to broaden our search. She was unfailingly optimistic and reassuring, helping us hang on to our dream. When our dream property finally popped onto the market mid-July 2011, Jean arranged for us to see it within days of its arrival on the market. When we fell in love with it and decided to make an offer, she arranged to meet with us right away to do the paperwork, and immediately delivered our offer to the seller's agent. Jean went through the purchase contract very carefully, making sure we understood all the clauses and all our choices. That careful attention to detail paid off after our purchase offer had been accepted, when our home inspector discovered serious structural defects in the house we were buying. Our contract had provided us the option of backing out of the purchase, or of renegotiating the price, based on the necessary repairs. After determining that we wished to try to negotiate a new price, Jean helped us arrange for another more detailed inspection and obtain estimates for the required repairs. Armed with that information, Jean skillfully, patiently and firmly negotiated with the seller's agent, eventually negotiating a new purchase price which allowed us to both buy the property and pay for the necessary extensive repairs. We have worked with other agents in the past, at least one of whom was good, but no one compares with Jean: she's absolutely one of the very best!
