This was our first home, and the Matt Mulder team was AWESOME. We were walked through everything, questions were answered and everyone had patience with us.The Team kept us in the communication loop with everything. Definetely "Will Not Recommend Matt Mulder." He was all for the buyer not for the me the seller at all. I lost 23K in equity. He lied to me about the value of my home and about closing the cost I would have to pay. He only showed it to two people on one day! He stated if I went with a cash deal I would only pay for the title and seven percent commission. I ended up having to pay thousands more than I was expecting to. The buyer only had to pay 650.00 after I had lowered the cost of my house believing that they would be covering closing cost in return. I had to pay for title insurance which is not legally required for a cash sale but put it into the contract and they wrote me an email stating that it was legally my responsibilty and put in in the contract with out even telling me. This sale was all about the buyer. Matt to not work in my intrest on any of it. He did not explain any of the details of the contract. He left me to read it while he left the room. He was not at the closing. It has been over a month and I never even got a thank you call or a note of appreciation. He did call my son an hour after I signed to say there was still stuff in the yard and the buyer wants it gone while we were still in the process of moving the remaining items off the outside property. My house is only ten years old and he said it wasn't as valuable as other houses in the area the were over 50 years old because mine did not have a garage. He also said Obama was going to flood the market with forclosures after the election to get me to agree on dumping my 10 year old house for 69,000.00 because after the election it would be worth much less. Zillow said it was worth 120,000.00 when we started and now it says it is worth 82,000.00. When I confronted him about these he danced around each issue until I finally got him to admit to them. He did appoigize for not telling me about the extra closing cost but not without a long discussion about what was the truth first! I will not recommend Matt Mulder. Oh yeah, I am still for my dollar the buyer was suppose to pay me for anything that was left behind in the house and a written apology for the horrible way I was treated would be nice too, but I am not holding my breath. We had been with another realtor for a year and had many showings but no offers. Matt is not someone who will get you in to see a property quickly. He has to have things done his way before he will move (even if you have cash). I found a different realtor who understands that if you want that great deal you have to jump on it; but only after I lost out on a great property after trusting Matt to get it done for me.
