We had a poor experience in the purchase of our last two homes. Our agents basically did nothing to help us. In contrast, Chris did everything right. He actually had a marketing plan for our home which was designed to drive buyers to us immediately. We had a dozen offers within 3 days of listing. We closed for thousands of dollars over our asking price in the very worst of the housing crisis. We got more per square foot than any other home in our area by a wide margin. I know that he also sold the house next door to our new home for significantly more per square foot than any other home in this area. The bottom line is that most agents will list your house on the MLS and wait for their phone to ring. They have no action plan and are doing nothing for you. I have rarely seen an agent actually earn a commission. When we were in our temporary rental home and looking for a new home, Chris answered his phone day or night and made sure we were able to see any house that interested us immediately. When we found the perfect home, Chris was out of state. However, he had a knowledgable agent from his office onsite with us within two hours for a walk through. She stayed for several hours while we signed sales documents and the house was ours by 10:00 that night. Chris consulted with us by phone all evening to make sure we had all the information we needed to make a good decision. Chris is extremely effective, but he is also easy to talk to and never once made us feel pressured to make a quick decision. When we first approached him, we were not certain we were ready to move and he generously consulted with us with no pressure. We have referred friends to Chris at least 5 or 6 times and they have all been extremely impressed. We have several friends who are part time real estate agents who really wanted us to list with them so they could make some extra money. I was a first time home buyer. I spent 3 months working with a woman from a highly named firm in the valley, who did nothing but had me running in circles. I looked at over 100 houses in my time with her, and spent every night searching a basic site for houses, and hours to hand write and fax bids to houses that had already been negotiated. She and her company couldn?t get answers from other agents no matter how many times they called; I was always too late for any house that I liked. I was exhausted and frustrated. This is when I met Chris, who explained to me that he and his company worked for people like me, people who work 40 plus hours and don?t have a lot of time.
