I liked to look up houses on Zillow and then suggest them to her, and she would tell me if they were still on the market, or a short sale, etc. Plus, she would suggest other places as well. I must have sent her 100 e-mails, and she always responded quickly from her iphone. Over the course of the time we worked with her, the one thing that became clear was that she was on our side? she was working for us and no one else. If there was a potential conflict, such as a house that she was listing, she made that clear and explained the ramifications. When we have bought houses in the past, agents tried to goad us into a higher offer, because they just wanted the sale to go through. Mary did not do that. She was always trying to get the best deal for us and was forthright about pointing out potential issues, such as lead paint, aluminum wiring, etc. She also recommended a title company to us, and they were great.
