Sue Listed and sold our home for $323,500 in a down market. Our home in SW Grand Rapids sold in July 2011. Here was my experience. I fancy myself as rather savvy in the real estate market, selling my previous three properties on my own. I have a friend who is a realtor that I've done another four transactions with. I've worked with an additional three realtors. This was by far my best experience. This time I had to sell a more expensive home and figured that I'd need the extra market exposure. Sue had sold a home a couple years ago in the neighborhood (and it was comparatively a "dog" of a house -- I was impressed that it sold). I picked out three top agents in GR and had them each over for a walk through. Since this was going to cost me 18 to 20 grand I shopped my realtors like I had money on the line! I picked high performers. Sue was head and shoulders above the other two in attention to detail, insightfulness, market research, and follow up. She was dead on for pricing, nearly exactly what I had estimated. Here is why I was very happy with Sue: 1. She is very thorough with research and pricing. Price your home wrong and it will stagnate -- or cost you dearly. 2. She followed up weekly. She had good suggestions, and was open to our suggestions. 3. Her sinage, flyers, marketing, and open houses were all helpful. 4. She is a people person. Her relationships with the other realtors, and clients who came through the open houses, really carried the ball down field. We always got feedback, she always followed up. I'm a very active participant and she was there every step of the way. 5. In the end we had two offers on the home and sold over asking price. She was willing to negotiate down to the pennies and always had our best interest in mind. 6. One of the reasons I considered her to start with was her activity in her church. She was ethical, honest, and didn't beat around the bush. Those qualities are priceless. I won't do business any other way. You shouldn't either. I know that the week I had interviewed she had clients that had just purchased a home in our price range. She also had sold something like 6 of her 9 listings in the previous month. Sue was our listing agent for selling our first home. She provided extensive research and data regarding current market values allowing us to set a fair and competive price. Well what can I say... Sue Prins was and is the BEST !! My husband is a builder and we have moved 24 times, yes 24. Our previous agent retired so when we decided to list our last home we needed to search for a new agent. We went to several open houses in the area first to get a feel for some of the local agents. We then decided on 3 to come and evulate our last home. Our home was georgeous and Better Homes and Garden perfect, yet Sue still had a few suggestions for me, which I greatly appreciated. Sue worked very hard for us, great with communication and VERY fussy about the photos she put on line. Sue even came back to retake a few as the "lighting" was not just right in the first batch of pictures. Much to our suprise, we had 3 buyers in 5 days and got more than we were asking. In other words, the hardest range of homes to sell in the current economy. Sue came through our home prior to listing it to see the home and make recommendations on how to properly stage the home. As soon as we hired her she was continually bringing prospective buyers through the home, having open houses at appropriate times, and following up with every person that walked through our home to see if they had any questions and to highlight why our home would be good for them.
