After interviewing three agents, we chose Jim Smith because of his expertise in our neighborhood, his honesty and his responsiveness. Jim answered our initial call while he was on vacation! He immediately called us when he returned home and always answered phone calls and e-mails right away. His communication style is straight forward. Jim charges a realtor fee that is very competitive with his peers. Another perk Jim offers, that saved us lots of money, is the free use of moving boxes and his moving truck. We hired two movers Jim works with and were moved in a day. It was incredible and very cost effective! As far as pricing our house, Jim was very detail oriented in analyzing comparables in the area, the economy, etc. He helped us choose a price we all felt good about and that met all our goals. As it turned out, it was perfect! Most importantly, our house sold in one day for full asking price. Jim had given us several suggestions of things to do to get the house ready to sell. He also gave us names of people who could do those things. Jim has an incredible network of contacts! I am pretty sure Jim also works with a home stager if the client is interested. We took Jim's advice, fixed the things he suggested and sold the house to the first buyer. Jim had also done a virtual tour and flier on the house that were incredible. They were very well done and showed the house off beautifully. In this process he made sure to gain our approval before publishing anything and happily took our input. Since our house sold so quickly, we then had to find a house to move into quickly. Jim took time the whole next week to take us to homes and help us find a great house! We were able to close on both houses the same day! Jim made the whole process easy and understandable. Some of our success was being in the right place at the right time, but without Jim's skill, the right place might not have sold (price too high, things needing to be fixed, etc) at the right time and for full price. Jim works in real estate with great integrity. Several times he said he would do XYZ because that was the right thing to do or because he wanted to be honest with someone.
