I spent a couple days working with Mr. Hagaman to try to purchase a residence for my family. He was offering overpriced properties and did not listen to our requests. Specifically, the houses he chose to show were valued much higher than comparable properties listed on Zillow. We listed our requirements that houses must be in good neighborhoods. One house he showed was in front of a water treatment plant. another house was on a busy road near the hospital. It seems that Mr. Hagaman did not do his homework at all. In the end, I had to compile a list of properties from Zillow to see, which is the work of the agent. It was a waste of our time. I would not recommend hiring him as a real estate agent. Less

David was my realtor for several transactions in investment property. He is very knowledgeable in his expertise of real estate. Very patient and makes sure everything is done properly at closing for his buyer or seller.

We recently moved to the area from out of state and we hired David to be our agent. Needless to say, we couldn't be happier with his professionalism and responsiveness -- throughout the entire process. He listened to our needs and showed us dozens of homes -- not being satisfied until WE were statisfied. David recommended a terrific home inspector and followed up with details that saved us hundreds of dollars. He is the best agent we've ever worked throughout our 20-plus years of home buying! Less

I rented a home from David Hagaman for a year. He was unavailable most of the time and then sent me charges for repairs to the house which were not to be expected from the tenant. I do not recommend renting from him.

I have not attempted to purchase a home from David Hagaman. I did, however, rent one of his properties in Greensboro, North Carolina. First and foremost, I would like to note that my roommates and I went for two (cold) months without having a working water heater. There were other small issues, like the unmaintained parking area, which would force anything smaller than an SUV to bottom out when pulling in. This issue took six or seven months to be fixed. These are my smallest complaints. After waiting nearly a month for our deposit to be returned, we received about 30% of the initial $1200. He justified this with claims of unreasonable damage to the house. I understand that "normal wear and tear" may be a matter of opinion, however, a major part of the charges included 25 gallons of paint, an exceptionally expensive cleaning service (to which the phone number is disconnected), and replacement of smoke alarms. I've never been charged more than $100 of a deposit in my life, so needless to say I was blown away by this whole series of events. I would never recommend doing any business with David Hagaman if it is avoidable. Less

David came highly recommended from one of my colleagues as a buyer's agent, and with good reason. Last year I relocated to Greensboro from an area about 12 hours away for a new job. I flew down to visit for a week to look for a house to buy. David arranged everything, he picked me up at the airport, drove me to meals during the day (I didn't even have to rent a car!), and that first day we drove around all the different neighborhoods and he pointed out all the features of each so that I was able to get a good sense of where I wanted to live, even though I was not very familiar with Greensboro at the start. We were able to narrow down the neighborhoods to a few, and David arranged viewings of over 30 houses within our price range and with the features we wanted for that week. David is very knowledgeable about houses, building materials and architecture, and was able to guide me to several great possibilities, and give tips for potential updates to homes- which was great for me, as a first time home buyer. Within a week we found my dream house, made an offer, and David was able to negotiate a lower price for the house and he also negotiated for the former owners to leave all their appliances for us. We were under contract before I left Greensboro a week after I arrived. He arranged all the meetings, inspections and paperwork so that when I came back down about 2 months later to close, all we had to do was show up to the meeting and sign the paperwork. Afterward he also was able to recommend some friends of his to help refinish the floor, finish off the fence and do some much needed yard work. All the people he recommended were also great, and I appreciated that he went the extra mile for us even after the closing. It's been about 7 months since we closed, and our dream house is still as dreamy as when we bought it! David is also a very friendly guy, and great to work with. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a house in Greensboro or the surrounding areas. Less
