Where do I begin....Justin is an awesome agent! Earlier this year, my husband and I were looking for an investment property on our own through different sites. The Anderson Real Estate group came to my knowledge because they were selling a home I was interested in, but even though I decided not to buy that bank listed home, they still helped me find another home that would better suit my needs. I'm thankful for the patience and perseverance of agent Torey Carrick because he showed me many homes and even was there as I went through signing contracts on three different homes. I would imagine most agents would walk away after the first two home sales being not being successful, but Torey Carrick hung in there even after months had passed because he didn't give up getting me the home that was best for me. Through their service I found a home that was above my price buying range as I later went into contract on a more affordable home in a different neighborhood, but I ended up getting the same home I thought I couldn't afford two months later after the price dropped $50,000, and Mr. Carrick made sure I was to first to make an offer after the price dropped to that affordable level. Torey and the Anderson Real Estate Group made what seemed like an impossible deal possible! My family was searching for the perfect and very affordable condo in Huntington Beach. It needed to be near the beach and significantly upgraded. For the price they were willing to pay, I thought these stars would never align, but Torey and Jeff made it happen. Not only did they somehow get into the price range we were looking for, they set a speed record in dealing with the bank. Five starts in every category and then some! Can't begin to recommend this agent and group of people enough. As first time home buyers, we weren't really sure what we were in store for, so when our credit union assigned us a realtor (NOT this realtor), we thought that first agent we had was the norm. Basically, we called him when we wanted to see something and we could always tell we weren't his first priority. Luckily, we got in contact with Torey Carrick by chance and he and my husband scheduled an appointment to show us a home in the area we really wanted to live in, and he impressed us so much by that first meeting that we decided to switch agents right then and there. He invited us to a home buyers workshop that his group holds once a month in Long Beach and said it would be perfect for us, so we went. It was an eye-opening, informative session and it made us realize that we were in a perfect position to buy. At that workshop Torey told us how he worked: he's a buyer's agent who works exclusively with buyers, and told us how a lot of realtors didn't really "listen" to the wants and needs of their clients. Based on who we were dealing with before, we realized this was true and Torey seemed like a breath of fresh air and it was extremely apparent that he knew his trade well. Something that stuck with me from that workshop was how Torey told us that he tells people to come up with a list of what you want in a home. A wish list and a reality list, if you will. This helped us narrow down what was really important. What we would love to have vs. what we would be happy to have. It was a very useful exercise and helped Torey steer us in the right direction. Our home finding experience was super quick. The first house he showed us as our official agent was the one we ended up buying. We saw about 7 or 8 more because we didn't know if it was a good idea or possible to fall in love with the first house we saw. But he reassured us of any doubts and we began the process. The process was fairly smooth aside from a few hiccups from the credit union and the seller's agent and escrow companies. But Torey and his team were always up front, honest, and realistic about what was going on. He was always responsive, always there to make sure we both understood exactly what everything was, and just everything you could want in a realtor. I honestly can't recommend this group enough.
