We were on a tight deadline for several reasons and the house we had initially thought we would be purchasing fell through due to the Bank of America freeze on all foreclosure sales. We had about 5 weeks to find a house, make an offer, agree on a purchase price, and move in. My husband and I were exhausted and discouraged after looking at everything available to us in our price range and finding nothing that appealed to us at all.
