The private sweet-water well runs 33 gallons per minute which we are told is enough to support a subdivision. Horses are fine. To the SW, there is one piece of property between us and the National Forrest and there are many access sites in the area for hiking, quads, cross-country skiing, and bicycle trails. It is a one hour drive to the Sunrise ski area. Built by Cheyenne Log Company of Eager, Arizona, the 2,510 sq ft, 3bd, 2 bath manufactured log home is designed to not allow any settling. There is a spacious (16 x 24) deck facing East and also a balcony facing South Mountain off the substantial upstairs loft. A large covered porch faces North off the spacious family room and master bedroom and overlooks the Alpine Meadow below. So, there is always a shady or sunny place at any time of the day. Elk are seen almost every day on the property as they graze down South Mountain to the meadow in the evening and then back up again in the morning. The fireplace mantle is made from one piece of hand-carved juniper and hangs on a gorgeous 10 x 25 floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace. The log staircase is hand-carved with no nails. There are twenty-foot ceilings and four large, double-paned picture windows facing the North views. The flooring is Swiss Karr wood for hardy, yet easy care. Cabinets and all doors are solid knotty hickory. The large loft includes one bedroom, a sleeping area, a TV family room and a completely built-in office. The loft walls are tongue-in-grove cedar paneled. The kitchen island is 13 x 4 with a gas stove and a built-in desk. Large lower drawers instead of cupboards make kitchen work lighter. A skylight keeps things bright. There is a trash compactor, dishwasher, soap dispenser, disposal, and frig with ice and water. Solid knotty hickory cabinets and doors throughout. There is a 6 x 8 walk-in pantry. The master suite outside door opens to the North porch over-looking the meadow. It has a large walk-in closet and a empty built-in and keyed gun cabinet. The master bathroom has hickory cabinets, double sinks, shower and separate heater system. The 2nd bath has a large tile-enclosed soaking tub. The spacy laundry room contains six hickory cabinets and shelves, the well water tank, an over-sized hot water tank and a utility sink. It opens into an oversized 2-car garage.
